Freedom of Thought, Conscience, and Religion

​

Article 18 of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights affirms the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. This includes the freedom to hold beliefs, to change beliefs, or to leave a religion or belief system without coercion or punishment. The Declaration was adopted on December 10, 1948.
