Boundary Violations

Repeated intrusions into personal, emotional, sexual, or psychological boundaries that are justified as spiritually necessary or morally required.

  • You were expected to disclose private thoughts, behaviors, or doubts to leaders or      accountability partners.

  • Your body, sexuality, or life choices were publicly commented on or regulated.

  • Attempts to set limits were reframed as rebellion, pride, or lack of faith.

Potential clinical implications (especially in high control settings)

  • Repeated boundary crossings can blur the sense of where one person ends and others begin.

  • Instincts may feel unreliable, and setting limits may trigger guilt or fear.

  • Healing involves relearning that boundaries are protective, not selfish.
